The FCR Public Affairs Office is the public relations arm of Fog City Rocketry and is meant to foster transparent communication between the public and Fog City Rocketry. It is an office under the Division of Business Development of Fog City Rocketry and is headed by a Public Information Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the FCR Public Affairs Office includes but is not limited to.

  • Direct public engagement with the public at FCR events
  • Managing FCR’s Social Media (IG, LinkedIn, YouTube etc...)
  • FCR’s press releases.
  • Timely release of FCR’s Launch Notices.
  • Engage Directly with AS and other Student Orgs.
  • Management and maintenance of the colors (Flags).
  • The Public Affairs Office may from time to time add to this list of duties and responsibilities as it sees fit.

Standards

All signs (Advertisements, Launch Notices, Press Releases, Warning signs) produced by the Public Affairs Office will be headed by the FCR Logo. For Warning signs, iconographies must follow the ISO 7010 for graphical hazard symbols. The other acceptable standards all relate to hazardous material hazards, these are the GHS Standard (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals), the NFPA 704 Standard, and the HAZCHEM standard (to be used along with the GHS Standard).

These are the holidays that the FCR Public Affairs Office has a direct emphasis on. This list goes into effect July 4th 2024.
