Codename Origin
The namesake of the codename "KALPANA" is Kalpana Chawla who was the first Indian-born woman in space and was also the first Hindu Woman in space. Sadly, she passed alongside her fellow crew members during the Columbia Shuttle Disaster of 2003. This project is named in her Honor and in the memory of those who perished in the Columbia Shuttle Disaster.
Budget
The budget for the project was initially projected to be 160 USD. The total cost ended up being 297.66 USD including shipping and taxes. We went 137.66 USD overbudget.
